Your medical condition may cause you to not being covered in issues regarding a chronic or pre-existing condition.
Before embarking on a business trip, it is important that you determine whether there is coverage or not. If possible, it is important that you secure a medical pre-approval from our emergency center.
Expenses for treatment of chronic and pre-existing conditions are only covered if the condition is stable. This means that, within the span of the past two months before embarking on the trip, you have not:
- received medical treatment (beyond check-ups)
- had changes to your medication
- been hospitalized

Your insurance is valid during your commercial business trip.
Your business trip begins the moment you leave your home or your place of employment and it ends when you return to one of these adresses. Your usual commute between your home and your place of employment is not considered a business trip.
Depending on what your employer has chosen, your travel insurance may provide coverage during your leisure time.
If you are active in sports or participate in risk-filled activities such as rock-climbing, diving or off piste skiing during your trip, it is a good to check whether there is coverage before you embark on your trip.
Please contact your employer to check if your commercial travel insurance provides coverage before travelling to a war zone.
