Contents insurance

The insurance covers fire damage to your belongings, as well as burglary, simple theft, robbery, or open theft (mugging), and any damage to your clothing if you were to be assaulted.

We also cover damage resulting from water, oil, coolant, or similar substances that suddenly escape (not seepage or dripping) from installations, aquariums, or other containers.

Covers the entire household in case any of you accidentally cause harm to another person, their belongings, or animals.

If you find yourself in a disagreement that needs to be resolved in court, you can often obtain legal expenses coverage. With legal expenses insurance, we cover your legal fees and other costs associated with handling the case.

Identity theft protection is a valuable coverage in case your personal information is misused.

The insurance covers your belongings inside your building if they are damaged due to a storm-related damage to the building. Additionally, the insurance covers damages to belongings if a severe downpour or thaw causes flooding in your home.

The insurance covers if a person who is not a part of your household intentionally and without reason damages your belongings.

The insurance covers damage to your belongings in the event of a traffic accident, such as collision, impact, or overturning. To qualify as a traffic accident, a vehicle - such as a car - must be involved.

The insurance covers damage to your belongings caused by a short circuit in kitchen appliances and similar items.

The contents insurance covers malfunctions in your electronic devices at home, for example, if your flat screen TV breaks down after 3 years or if the washing machine suddenly stops working.

The insurance covers damage caused by accidental power outages, for example, the spoiled groceries you may have in your refrigerator or freezer.

The insurance covers damage to the IT equipment provided to your child by the school.

The insurance covers other sudden damages that are not typically covered by the contents insurance, such as if you fall and damage your glasses.

Your chosen deductible applies to this type of damage, except for screen breakages. For example, if you accidentally drop your smartphone and the screen cracks, the deductible is at least 1,000 Danish kroner.

When you calculate your price in our webshop, you will automatically see "Indbo Super Hus" (Contents Super House) if you live in a house, and "Indbo Super Lejlighed" (Contents Super Apartment) if you live in an apartment.

Moving Coverage Covers sudden damage that occurs during a move where your family or friends are helping.

Pest Control in the Apartment Covers pest control in your apartment, for example, if you get bed bugs or mice.

Handicap Adaptation of the Apartment Covers expenses for structural changes to the residence, making it easier to get around with a wheelchair, for example, if you or someone else in the household has an accident or illness, or if you have a child with a physical disability.

Glass and Fixture Coverage in the Apartment Covers breakage of building-mounted glass, such as windows, fixed mirrors, glass ceramic cooktops, sinks, toilet bowls, and bathtubs.

Do-it-yourself Building Materials for the House Covers building materials you have on hand for up to 3 months after the delivery date, for example, a washing machine or carport.

Home Assistance for the House Covers telephone advice at "Bolighjælp" (Home Assistance), where you can get good advice and guidance on damage prevention and other building-related questions.

Larger Motorized Garden Tools Increases the basic coverage for larger motorized garden tools such as garden tractors, lawnmowers, and pressure washers from 20 HP to 30 HP.

This extension also applies to liability coverage.

The insurance covers, among other things, theft of the household's bicycles when they are locked with a lock approved by DVN (Danish Consumer Council).

When purchasing the coverage, you must specify the maximum cost of each individual bicycle:

• 20,000 Danish kroner - here you get a maximum compensation of 60,000 Danish kroner per claim
• 40,000 Danish kroner - here you get a maximum compensation of 80,000 Danish kroner per claim
• 80,000 Danish kroner - here you get a maximum compensation of 80,000 Danish kroner per claim.

For example, if you have 4 bicycles in the household, each costing less than 20,000 Danish kroner, you choose this bicycle sum - it is the most expensive bicycle in the household that determines which bicycle sum you should have.

If all 4 bicycles are stolen at once, it is considered one claim, and therefore you can receive a total compensation of up to 60,000 Danish kroner, not up to 20,000 Danish kroner per bicycle.

Coverage for Electric Scooters

If you choose to purchase our bicycle coverage, electric scooters are also covered by the insurance for fire damage, burglary, robbery, and assault. We cover up to 6,000 Danish kroner per electric scooter. Please note that we only cover electric scooters that can reach a maximum speed of 20 km/h from the manufacturer's side.

Of course, the compensation is minus your chosen deductible and depreciation due to age, etc.

This add-on to your contents insurance covers your baggage, such as suitcases and clothing, that you bring on foreign trips.

Coverage is provided for up to 3 months from the departure date.

You can choose a coverage limit of either 50,000 Danish kroner or 100,000 Danish kroner per traveler.

The insurance provides special coverage for items that hold significant value to you. We cover these items for any damage that is not excluded in the terms and conditions.

Some of the items that you can obtain UNIQUE coverage for include watches, jewelry, sports equipment, and motocross bikes.

There is a deductible of at least 500 Danish kroner per claim.
