If's Adult Insurance gives you an advantageous combination of accident insurance and illness insurance, which protects you if you sustain permanent medical disability, whether this is due to an accident or certain illnesses.

With Adult Insurance, you will well-covered 24/7, at work and in your private life.

The cost of your Adult Insurance depends on your employment situation, and the insurance can only be purchased when you are aged between 16 and 49. The Adult Insurance will lapse when you reach 55 years of age.

Adult Insurance covers all parts of Denmark and the Nordic region, including the Faroe Islands and Greenland, without any time limit, in addition to travel of up to 12 months' duration in the rest of the world.

Our Adult Insurance also covers:

• Permanent medical disability as a consequence of accidents and certain illnesses
  You will be covered by Adult Insurance if you sustain permanent medical disability as a consequence of an accident or one of several defined illnesses. You choose the sum of this insurance cover.
  
  
• Double compensation in the event of accident or illness
  You receive double compensation in the event of severe injuries that lead to 30% or higher permanent medical disability. The double compensation applies to both accident and illness claims.
  
  
• Financial first aid
  If you suffer from certain serious illnesses, such as cancer, or if you are to have an open heart surgery, the Adult Insurance will pay out DKK 100,000 after diagnosis or treatment.

Expand your Adult Insurance with Immediate Compensation

If you would like to have extra good cover under your Adult Insurance, you can choose to extend the insurance with Immediate Compensation.

If you have an accident from which you sustain physical injury that is entitled to cover, you will receive financial assistance in the form of an immediate payment of 1% of the sum of your Adult Insurance.

If your insurance sum is DKK 1 million, for example, you will receive DKK 10,000.

Immediate Compensation will not affect any other payment in any way – you will still receive it, if you suffer permanent medical disability of at least 5%.

Who must complete the health declaration?

As the policyholder of the Adult Insurance, you must complete and sign the declaration.

For young people under the age of 18, you, as the holder of parental authority, must complete the declaration. You do not need to contact or visit a doctor.

What if I cannot answer the questions?

If you have questions about completing the Adult Insurance health declaration, you are welcome to call our Healthcare Team on (+45) 36 87 47 99.

If you are uncertain of whether you have had any of the symptoms described, you can ask your own doctor, for safety's sake.

Why is it important to answer truthfully?

In order for you to get the right Adult Insurance at the right price, you must answer all questions truthfully. Incorrect information may lead to the Adult Insurance not being in force when you really need it.

If we are unsure about anything, we will ask your doctor and then we will review your health declaration and give you a response concerning your Adult Insurance.

Can my Adult Insurance be rejected due to certain illnesses?

We make an individual assessment of each health declaration, and in order for us to give you the right cover on your Adult Insurance, it is important that you give us as much information as possible. Call us if you have any questions.

What happens if I have had an illness?

By no means all illnesses affect Adult Insurance. In certain cases, we may make reservations for certain illnesses or conditions, and in other cases we may be able to offer you Adult Insurance at a slightly higher price.

Does If contact my doctor?

We will only contact your doctor if there is anything we are in doubt about concerning your Adult Insurance.

By signing the declaration of consent at the end of the health declaration, you give us the opportunity to obtain the information necessary to give you the best possible cover under your Adult Insurance.

You will always be notified if we obtain medical information.
